Write to [email protected] and it reaches me, Nicoletta Barison, and nobody else. Corrections are the messages I like best: a slot time that has shifted, a meeting point that has moved, a listing that has been rewritten, a dead link. Two seasons can pass before any of those turn up on their own.
Questions I can answer
Anything about getting into this chapel, and what to do with the quarter of an hour once you are in. Whether to book a guide or read up and go alone. Which listings actually include admission and which explain the chapel from the pavement. What the museums on the same ticket are worth, and which day of the week they are shut. And where in Piazza Eremitani the door is, which is the question I am asked most and the one reviewers keep writing about (getting there).
Questions that belong somewhere else
Your booking, first of all. I did not take it and I cannot move, alter or refund it: the platform did, and the confirmation email it sent you is the way back to it. Nor am I the operator. Slot availability, group bookings, school rates, lost property and anything about the building itself are answered by the operator’s own contact centre, whose hours are on the booking page, and not by me.
And I cannot get you in this week. I am asked, and the answer is the sentence the operator prints on its own page: same day reservations cannot be made. There is no back door and I do not have one.
If you are writing about a review
Every quote on this site is printed as it was written — typing errors, capitals, accents and emoji intact — attached to the listing it was left on, and attributed by first name only. If you wrote one of them and would rather it were not quoted here, say so and it comes down the same day. If you think a quote has been attached to the wrong listing, that is worth telling me immediately: the whole point of the review pages is that nothing has been moved.
